David LeCaptain serves the community as both the Captain of Patrol at the Fond du Lac Police Department and a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County Board of Directors.
Since joining the board in 2020, LeCaptain has made a big difference. You can often find him helping behind the scenes at Bowl for Kids’ Sake or lending his talents to help recruit much-needed male volunteer mentors.
Growing up, LeCaptain loved the ocean and wanted to be a marine biologist. Now, he’s encouraging the dreams of children in the Fond du Lac County area by helping connect them with one-to-one mentors as the chair of the BBBS recruitment and retention committee.
Outside of work and volunteering, LeCaptain enjoys reading, swimming with his kids, and being a supportive husband.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County is a United Way Agency that assists children with social, emotional, and character development through one-to-one mentoring relationships with caring adults. The agency matches children with a Big Brother, Sister, Couple, or Family in a community or school-based program. Children ages 6-13 can enroll in the program through parent or guardian referral. For more information about the program or to volunteer, call (920) 922-8200 or visit www.bbbsfdl.org.
